Questions about this tool

SSC CGL eligibility for girls: can women apply?

Women can apply to SSC CGL subject to the relevant post requirements. The 2026 notice restricts BRO vacancies to male candidates (§4.3). Check post-specific physical and medical standards before choosing preferences.

Can a 12th-pass candidate apply for SSC CGL?

Class 12 alone does not meet the normal SSC CGL qualification: a recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required for most posts (§8.4). JSO has additional subject conditions. Certain qualifying ex-servicemen have separate provisions; check the notice rather than assuming an exception.

Does matching the age limit mean I am eligible?

No. Check the degree cutoff, nationality, category documents and the requirements of the particular department as well. Physical, medical and regional-language conditions can affect your options.

How to check SSC CGL eligibility by date of birth

Enter your date of birth, category and degree status, then open the post-wise results. The checks explain age windows, education requirements and conditions that need supporting documents. A matching age band alone does not establish eligibility.

Start with the age calculator if you only need the cutoff calculation. Use the education guide for JSO or Statistical Investigator requirements. Before applying, confirm your details against the latest official SSC notice.
